The Online Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing THE GIT STORE e-commerce platform. This position will also implement and manage THE GIT STORE e-commerce sales strategy with the goal of driving sales and increasing revenue by expanding and establishing new e-commerce opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and manage e-commerce solutions using best practices in SEO (Search Engine Optimization), marketing and web-based promotions
Grow e-commerce revenue through the use of promotions, feature development and targeted outreach
Research and analyze e-commerce user behavior to develop tactics to increase the percent of sales captured by the online store
Collaborate extensively with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to expand and establish new e-commerce opportunities, promotions and solutions
Implement/design/develop e-commerce promotions, social media programs, and other e-marketing programs that drive sales conversions
Create monthly dashboard of e-commerce Strategies Utilized
Collaborate with IT, Sales Teams to develop and evolve THE GIT STORE e-commerce site.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Education, Certifications and Experience)
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Business
2-5 years' experience in Marketing, preferably a product background, and with an emphasis in online marketing, or sales
Demonstrated track record of success in e-commerce related development
Excellent writing/copy editing skills
Direct experience in developing and/or managing a B2B e-commerce site
Knowledge of SEO-friendly HTML and experience working with integrated content management, CRM, and e-commerce platforms
Familiarity with creating online promotions and excellent awareness of buyer behavior
Familiarity with social media and social media engines
Project management expertise, including plan creation and time/resource management
Excellent organizational skills with a sharp focus on detail, accuracy and accountability
Must be able to build strong relationships and work in a deadline-driven environment, collaborating effectively within Shared Services and multiple business units and departments
Passion for brainstorming, creation and out-of-the-box thinking
Confident communication style and ability to manage to both timeline and profitability requirements
